Hello blogger!

It feels a little funny coming back to blogger! But coming back once in a while does bring back fond memories! I still haven't gotten over wordpress yet, but that doesn't stop me from coming back to blogger! :D

I think my vocab isn't expanding anymore, sad to say. I need to brush up on my languages again! Both English and Chinese. I kinda miss chinese lessons now 'cause I haven't been able to do a proper chinese paper since forever! And I'm so afraid I lose touch with my mother tongue.

Oh just so you know, I like Chinese. Having grown up in a Chinese speaking family surely did cultivate my love for my own mother tongue. I can't imagine what will it be like if I can't speak in proper chinese sentences one day. I swear I'm gonna be damn depressed.

And yes, I'm proud to be billingual. I like languages a lot. And I absolutely dislike language barriers you know! Imagine going to a foreign country and not being able to communicate with the locals over there. I'm positively sure I cannot survive! Okay fine, I'm being dramatic. But that's besides the point.

The point is, I don't think I would get anything fruitful out of the trip if I can't seem to communicate with people! So I've made up my mind to learn at least the basics before I head overseas to some foreign countries next time!

Oh oh oh, and I'm pretty interested to learn Korean these days. It must be the influence from my class in college. Or maybe it has got something to do with the Korean dramas these days! I'm sooo hooked to the way they talk. Idk why either. I just find it exceptionally pleasant.

Oh yay, and I just wasted a about 15 minutes talking about languages! Hahaha! I think I'm sooo good at wasting time these days! But well, I deserved this much of a break considering the hours I mugged prior to this! :D

I'm sooo gonna do well for Promos!!! And I'm soooo determined to overcome stupid Math. Actually, I've never really understood the reason behind me taking Math. It's just soooo not me.

But I've got to start loving it like how I did during the O levels period. I always remember what Ms Woo said about the importance of loving the subject that you're doing in order to do well for it! I can't agree more, seriously!

So all the best to myself! And also to the rest who're having their major exams soon! Full steam ahead! :D

And so I have 2 Ds and 2 Us up till now. As expected, I U'ed my Chemistry. Not surprising at all, considering how I nearly wanted to give up on the whole paper while doing it.

So tomorrow's the so-called "defining moment" 'cause our CSE tutors are gonna return our essays. I doubt I will do well for it since my essay was poorly written and pretty much one-sided. So I'm expecting grades which hover around an E-U. I'm only aiming for a pass right now.

On a much lighter note though, 414 did pretty well in Chemistry despite a quite a number of us getting Us. So from now onwards, I'm gonna aim to pass my Chemistry with flying colours! And no, I've not given up on Chemistry. Neither on Math.

I'm gonna do well for Promos and that's that! :D

Right, just a short post for today. I'm gonna watch some shows before I start doing Recurrence relations tutorial! Goodbye!

Mundane

Eom's driving me nuts, like seriously. Articles are everywhere, but none are up to my satisfaction. If this continues, I will probably end up writing nonsense for my first draft and hence waste my precious time.

Chemistry's undone as well. Thankfully, I only have to deal with a few questions for tomorrow's tutorial. I should probably get both my Chemistry and Econs essay outline done by today.

And I realised that I've got quite a number of deadlines to meet by this week. My life's just this mundane in Jc. I rush to meet the deadlines, and then realise that when one deadline's met, the other deadline's almost dued. I'm kinda thankful I don't get stressed all too easily. Imagine me panicking over every single thing. I bet I will grow ten years older like that.

On a much lighter note, I'm pretty pleased with both my Econs and GP's results for Mid years. Of course, they aren't exactly the most fabulous results, but I'm already grateful to have gotten a pass for both subjects. (:

Math was a U like how I expected it to be, so there ain't any surprises. I believe I will do better during Promos since I'm starting to have more productive Math tutorials now. And I think my new tutor rocks. :D

Chemistry results are coming out tomorrow. And that simply means impending doom, so that's that. All's over, so I should work harder for Promos. I will not dwell over the results, hopefully.

Alright, I guess I'm gonna get back to work for now. Goodbye!

SATURDAY BLAST

I know this came pretty late, but still...

HAPPY 17TH BIRTHDAY TO MY GIRLS, NAMELY CHUA AND JO!

Jo's birthday party was pretty much belated, but we can never let it go without a proper birthday celebration. What's a birthday without celebration anyway! So we decided to celebrate both their birthdays together.

For a start, I'm really grateful to all who made the effort to go down to Raffles city on Saturday. It was amazing to see all of them there! Thank you to Zhilin, my co-organiser for assisting me all the while. Though it sounds cliche, I'm sure it wouldn't have been a success without you. And to the guys, thank you for carrying/blowing the balloons even though it looked silly, gay and whatnot. And lastly, thank you to all who were a part of the whole birthday celebration. :D

And now, I shall complement my post with some photos so as to make the whole blog less dull. At the same time, I'm gonna fill in some details along the way. Be prepared for a long long post people!

First up, we went to Haji Lane, like finally! Being direction morons, it was pretty amazing how we actually got there without losing our way. Definitely something worth praising, yes!? So anyway, we camwhored tons during our short stay there. The shophouses were beautiful, and I love the wooden floorings and vintage feel some shophouses seem to possess. One day, I'm gonna have my own shophouse too and I will definitely decorate the shophouse with the most breathtaking items and then every one will be very proud of my shophouse. So yay. :D

Okay whatever. I know this isn't the most realistic goals but still... it's good to fantasise once in a while right.

Oh, and guess what we discovered while we were there. We realised that if we ever decide to go Haji Lane again, we should really be loaded with cash. I'm so cash-strapped on that day I swear I can't buy whatever that caught my eye. It was sad.

We also discovered that we should get good cameras when we explore that street out. It was cool exploring the toy musuem and reliving some past memories while we were all young back then. But, a good quality camera is definitely a need if you want good quality photos. My 2 megapixels fall short as compared to the rest who were with Nikon DSLR. I wish I had one too.

Moving on, we went over to Raffles City thereafter, hoping to make reservations in Shokudo such that we didn't have to queue. Unfortunately for us though, we couldn't 'cause it was pretty late already and the reservations were full. So we'd to queue. Well, then again, it was also fortunate for us 'cause the service there was fabulous and the waiters/waitresses managed to find us seats in less than 30 minutes. They were really friendly and the food was great. I hope my recommendation was good definitely. So we camwhored more, catch up with each others' lives, and played silly dare games. Hahaha! Sus was epic, I swear. :D

And lastly, we went to Arcade prior to the late night movie which I will come to it in a while's time. While the rest had their fair share of fun arcading, I had fun camwhoring, and playing a little pool here and there. Pool's fun, but I looked silly in front of people like Fabian and Derek. Like what Zhilin said, Derek looks like someone who will skip lessons for pool! Hahaha!

Okay, now to the midnight movie which was really impromptu. Initially, I thought Fabian was just kidding about it, but it ended up materialising due to them being really adamant about it. And since it was a late night movie, it only started at 11.25pm and ended at 1 plus 2. I make sure this is the first and last time I'm gonna stay out so late 'cause it really was a little unnerving having to watch a movie while thinking of how my parents would react to it. Call me paranoid or whatever, but it was plain unsettling doing things like this.

I'm gonna wait till I grow a little older before I do this again! :D

Alright, so that pretty much sums up my Saturday. Really eventful eh. I bet most of you have given up reading till here already. Hehehe, so I'd better go off now! Goodbye folks!

Doodoo memory card

Why did my memory card have to spoil now!? I'm so upset 'cause this literally means that I have to spend more money on buying a new one. And I'm supposed to be saving up after spending quite a sum this week.

So gah, all that meagre allowance I saved this week will be gone within a couple of days. How damn annoying is this. Why oh why must this happen to me!?

And I don't care if I'm being drama mama here. It feels really stupid to buy a new memory card when I can spend on more productive uses. Tell me why my memory card has to be such a defiant thing of late.

Okay whatever. I think I'm gonna head down to Challenger to get a new one tomorrow. I can't live without my hp's memory card, much less say the hp itself. I was so freaking out just now when I thought my phone's spoilt. Thankfully, it was just nothing but mere false alarm. Now, I just need to change my memory card. So I guess it's a consolation in some way or another.

On a much lighter note, I'm going to Haji Lane tomorrow! And I really should not splurge even though I'm tempted to. Now that I have one extra thing (memory card) to buy, I guess I should restrict myself from shopping.

If only I have all the money in the world. But too bad, it really doesn't happen in reality so booo. ):

And it's Chua's BIG day tomorrow. The day which she has been reiterating ever since July started.

Right, so I should sleep early today and prepare to have fun tomorrow. Goodnight folks! :D
